Școala Gimnazială “Grigore Mihăescu” Vlădești

Secondary School Vladesti is situated 5 kilometers far from Rm. Valcea's city centre, situated in a rural area surrounded by Capela and Inatesti hills. The school is 10 kilometers far from the tourist resort Baile Olanesti. At the Secondary School Vladesti are studying 162 students who are split as it follows: - 42 students at kindergarten (with the age between 3 and 6 years old). - 72 students at primary school (with the ages between 7 and 11 years old). - 48 students at secondary school (with the ages between 12 and 15 years old). There are 28 teachears who work at the school. The Secondary School “Grigore Mihaescu implemented between 2002-2005 a Comenius multilateral project with partners from Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Iceland and Italy. Since 2005 the school has not been implied in European cooperation projects.
Between 2011-2013, with the support of the City Hall from Vladesti, we have implemented a POR project and we have constructed a new school for the kindergarten with extended program. We have established a pottery cultural center inside the school. A major problem that the school confronts is the proximity of Rm. Valcea city. This fact determinates approximately 35% from the secondary school students to go to schools from Rm. Valcea. Through this project we want to attract the interest to our school for the students from Vladesti and to make them want to stay at our school after they finish the primary school.
The project’s team was named by the school leadership and it has the following composition:
  • 1. Rogoveanu Elena Claudia-Project responsible and contact person. He is an English teacher and has the experience of being responsible for the Comenius projects.
  • 2. Mihaela Duta - responsible for the implementation of the project’s methodology. She is the school principal, national trainer and computer science teacher.
  • 3. Stamate Carmen Elena he is a history and geography teacher. He will be responsible for disseminating project’s results and will ensure the visibility of the project.
  • 4. Giuran Adriana is entrepreneurial education teacher. He will be in charge of evaluating and monitoring the progress of the project.
  • 5. Dulcea Iulia Adriana is the accountant of the school. He will be the financial manager of the project and he will record all the expenses of the project in the school’s balance register.
    If one of the project team members decides to leave the team, another person with the same competencies and skills will be appointed by the internal decision of the school’s leadership. The project’s team has the necessary experience in implementing the project activities and can coordinate the partner school project teams.
